Plymouth, Massachusetts. America’s Hometown. The place where our great nation began. It is a town full of history. But it is also where a legend was once born. On December 23, 1988, Nick Coit’s life and legacy began. Throughout his childhood, the young Coit watched and studied sports constantly, training for the day that he would climb to the mountaintop. The day he would become a panelist on Unsportsmanlike Conduct. That day came two and half years ago, and ever since then, the legacy has grown. As a member of Team Navy, Coit carried the team to some memorable victories, including a stunning playoff upset two years ago over then Rookie of the Year Daniel Sardinha (yes Dan, Tiger blew it!). Now, the legend has grown even larger. Coit has recently been named the Captain of one of UC’s new franchise squads, Team Indigo. With Brett Connolly, Trevor Savage, and Dan “The Voice” Massar by his side, Coit is hoping to bring home a UC Title this semester.
And what else is this legend made of? In his spare time, Coit is an active member of the Boston College Marching Band, Conductor of the BC Pep Band, and true Superfan. When it comes to Boston College Athletics, Coit knows best. He is also an active member of the Emerson College community. Coit is a Resident Assistant of the Little Building on campus, where he fosters the growth of young students into influential Emersonians. The Junior Broadcast Journalism major has also appeared on EIV News, WEBN Sports, WERS FM, ETIN Radio, and on the Emerson Channel during his reign of terror upon the “Campus on the Common” (and you wondered why we’re ranked most dangerous in America!). Coit has enjoyed every minute he has spent working on Unsportsmanlike Conduct and is looking forward to help carry the show to new heights in 2010!
