Dan Massar is a senior broadcast journalism major. He has been very
active on campus during his four years at Emerson. He's been a part of
WEBN Sports since his freshman year filling many different roles
including anchor, reporter, analyst, and executive producer. He has
hosted a show on ETIN since his freshman year, and right now hosts "The
Afternoon Delight" on Tuesdays from 2-4. During the summer he hosted a
special 24 hour edition of the show. Massar really enjoys doing
play-by-play broadcasting and is one of the voices of Emerson basketball
and volleyball as well as the voice of MIT football and basketball. He
also the Celtics writer for YawkeyTalkies.com. A native of Natick, MA,
he has hosted a show on the towns cable channel since 2003. He is a
former intern in the sports department at WHDH and is now a sports
intern at WCVB where he helps produce the sportscasts on Saturdays. He
has worked as an usher at Fenway Park since 2007. Massar is excited to
be back on the UC after a couple of semesters away from the show because
of other commitments.
