Adam Kipfer (Audio Board Mixer, Audio Assistant)
Hello! My name is Adam Kipfer and I do the audio mix for UC. I’m a Junior Sound Design & Audio Post Production major here at Emerson. I have experience playing bass and piano in bands as well as doing some studio mixing. UC is the first TV show I have ever worked for and it is quite the pleasure working with such talented and motivated individuals, whom there are plenty of working for EIV. I have learned a lot very quickly about the effort that goes into making a television show; it’s truly remarkable to watch the process happen. As for audio, working with the studio equipment is an educational challenge as well as an immense pleasure. I am not particularly a big sports fan, but working for UC has certainly peaked my interest in some areas of the topic. But, my favorite part of working for UC is certainly the gifted production staff. I know that EIV and UC will give me the necessary tools I will use in the furthering of my aspiring career of working in audio production!

I am very excited to be a part of Unsportsmanlike Conduct. My goal for this semester is to learn about all the different positions in the TV studio and to gain lots of experience. I really enjoy playing ice hockey and I’m currently playing goalie for Emerson College. My favorite sports teams are the New Jersey Devils, the New York Giants, and yes, the New York Yankees. I’m looking forward in producing a great show and I want to thank EIV in advance for giving me an opportunity to work on this project. I also want to thank all my family/friends who have always supported me in whatever I do. Oh, I also like to sing …when nobody’s around.

I’m excited to be a member of the UC Crew especially since Johnny “Juice” Russo has been trying to get me to be on the crew for a year and a half.. I’ve been on the crew of previous EIV shows such as Beat the Brain as well as being a contestant and two single cam sitcoms. I have become an avid sports fan in the past few years. My favorite teams include the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Of course I’ll watch a New York Giants or Dallas Cowboys game and cheer for the other team. I’m a newsman at heart, but I’ll always peruse the sports section for the scores and upcoming games.

Hi! My name is Courtney Swift and I am a freshman Broadcast Journalism major! I love sports and can often be found watching football or baseball. I love NESN, and I am a big fan of PTI (Pardon the Interruption), Around the Horn, and Sports Center on ESPN. I am a New England sports fan except when it comes to football in which case the COLTS and COWBOYS are my teams! I am willing to debate with anyone about sports, and this happens often with the Colts and Patriots or Red Sox and Yankees. I have done some broadcasting in the past including moderating a school board debate in my hometown. I am excited about being a part of Unsportsmanlike Conduct, because I really want to do sports broadcasting in the future, specifically with baseball. Heidi Watney and Red Sox Nation, HERE I COME!

Stephanie Miceli (Tape Operator, Audio 2)
Hailing from Queens, New York, Stephanie Miceli is a freshman broadcast journalism major with an irrational fear of pigeons. This semester, she hopes to pursue a double major in marketing communication. Her ultimate career goal is to land an executive position at Reuters or Associated Press, which would best enable her to combine the skills both majors entail. As part of the UC crew during the fall, she worked on lighting. However, she is most passionate about developing concepts behind documentaries, which is what brings her aboard UC again this spring. She is a self-proclaimed New York Rangers superfan, as well as a black belt in Shotokan, a form of martial arts. Besides being a UC crew member, she has been involved with EIV by writing for the News at Nine and serving as a contestant on "All You Need is Love." She has also written for WEBN Environment and WECB news, where she co- hosted a weekly show, "The Jew and the Gent." As far as sports go, she tends to follow the unusual, such as bull-fighting and equestrianism.
