Hello I my name is Johnny Russo. I am known to the sports world as “Juice.” I have worked on the UC for four years and have been the executive producer of the show for the past three years. I have captained the Navy squad ever since the inception of the team. I left the show last semester to intern and study in Hollywood, but now I am back ready to regain the throne. There is no sport I shy away from. I lay down the law in every sport including boxing, hockey, soccer and everything in-between. Every semester someone tries to come at me and make a name for themselves but I welcome the challenge.
I bring energy and life to the show. Sometimes I may bring a “prop” to support my argument from time to time, but behind those props are stone cold facts and hard hitting opinions. Hopefully one day I accomplish my goal to become a sports agent and I believe that I learned some very important skills working on this show.
The UC is a unique show unlike any other sports program at Emerson. I can say that because I have worked on every other sports production at Emerson, including being a producer for WEBN Sports, EIV Sports and Emerson Sports TV. I am looking forward to this semester as we are trying to incorporate a few new things to make the show better.
The bottom line is I enjoy working on this show both as a producer and a panelist. The UC is in my blood and love working on the show.
